This set of pincushions is made from an antique quilt square. The red, and blue square was hand stitched and lined with cotton batting.
The eagle pincushion was inspired by an antique piece I recently saw on Pinterest.
I hand drew the design and cut it out of the antique quilt square.
In keeping with the quilt, I hand stitched the eagle, stuffed it with cotton batting (both old and new), and then embellished all the seams with decorative stitching.
The eye is an antique shoe button.
It measures about 6 1/2" high x 5" wide.
This may be used as a pincushion, or you may attach a loop on the back and use as an ornament or hang from a cupboard knob or on the wall.
The three strawberries are made from scraps left over from the quilt square.
They are hand stitched, stuffed with wool snippets, and topped with a wool leaf cap.
They measure 2", 1 1/2", and 1".
Use as mini pincushions or as ornaments.
