These wonderful old looking pincushions are made from beautiful antique French ticking that I purchased directly from a dealer in France several years ago. When I received the textiles in the mail, I couldn't bring myself to cut into them... and so they sat in a box. And I forgot about them until a while back when I was looking for a specific fabric and found it in my stash.
Again, I used no pattern, cutting the pincushion design, hand-stitching to make a tufted mattress. They are filled with 100% wool snippets and scraps... great for your pins and needles!
Add one of these to your pincushion collection or use as a tuffet for a handmade doll or folk art animal!
When ordering, choose:
tan stripe (4 1/2" x 4 1/2" x 1 1/2"),
gray / taupe stripe (4 1/2" x 4 1/2" x 1 1/2"),
or red stripe (5" x 5" x 1 1/4").
or all three! :)
Please note the difference in the edging of the pin pillows.
The tan one has a rolled edge. The other two do not.
P.S. I'm in the process of editing more photos, but if you like to go ahead and order... I've made them available for purchase now.
